The team is completed by US legend, Todd Wells, Lea Davidson and Tereza Hurikova.

Specialized Factory XC 2013 Cape Epic

For the past two years the Specialized Factory XC team have dominated the Absa Cape Epic. With their domination in 2012, Christophe Sauser and Burry Stander proved themselves as the ultimate winning team for this event. Unfortunately on the 3rd Janruary 2013 year Burry Stander tragically lost his life in a road traffic accident whilst out training.
Never one to back down, Christophe Sauser made the call to his team mate and Olympic XC Champion, Jaroslav Kulhavy, and asked if he would join him for the 2013 edition of the Absa Cape Epic. Naturally Jaroslav was honoured to be asked and the two of them set out to race in memory of Burry.
With the success of the daily highlights that John Lawlor produced for Specialized in 2012, the same plan was made for 2013. The race this year was not won without putting up a fight. Crashes, punctures, wrong turns and injuries made this one of the hardest and most earned wins of both Christoph and Jaroslavs careers.

Here’s the story of the 2013 Absa Cape Epic in eight short episodes.
